Saudi rally champion and Jameel Motorsport<\/a> ambassador Yazeed Al Rajhi<\/a> is taking on a new challenge in the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid<\/a>, part of the W2RC<\/a>, currently taking place in Portugal.<\/p>\n

Running until April 7, the rally promises unforgettable moments for cars and motorbikes on the Portuguese and Spanish roads \u2013 the only stage of the W2RC held in Europe this year.\u00a0 Organized by the ACP \u2013 Automovel Club de Portugal<\/a>, the race covers a course of 1,000 km of technical roads with varied types of terrain \u2013 vast sandy beaches of the Alentejo coast to well-trodden roads of Ribatejo, as well as the rockier part of the Spanish Extremadura.<\/p>\n

Al Rajhi<\/a> is taking part with German co-driver Timo Gottschalk<\/a>, to his right in the cockpit of his Overdrive Racing<\/a> Toyota Hilux Evo T1 Ultimate<\/a>, as they battle to defend his team\u2019s colors.<\/p>\n

Al Rajhi expressed his commitment to the event, saying: \u201cWe are ready to participate in the third round of the W2RC. \u00a0The round is new for all of us, despite my participation in Baja Portugal<\/a> in the FIA World Baja Cup Rally<\/a>, but this region is considered completely new, and we have not passed through it before.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe competition will be intense and strong due to the return of Spanish matador Carlos Sainz<\/a>, winner of this year\u2019s Dakar Rally<\/a>, and we must focus on the appropriate strategies for these tracks.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTimo and I are looking forward to a fierce competition with our fellow racers. \u00a0The competition atmosphere will be similar to the Dakar Rally, but with completely different tracks. We are ready. \u00a0We have the best car and the best team we can have.\u201d<\/p>\n
