both in Europe and globally, with 40% of its electricity coming from renewable energy already.\u00a0 The country\u2019s ongoing decarbonization efforts and denuclearization programs continue to evidence both the government and population\u2019s commitment to a sustainable energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>Today, more than 100 GW of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants are installed, however, this can result in an oversupply during certain hours; in 2024 they recorded over 400 hours of oversupply vs. demand, so called \u2018negative energy\u2019 and over 500 in 2025, so far, mostly in sunshine hours of course.\u00a0 With Germany\u2019s installed renewables capacity, this phenomenon appears to be here to stay and could have a detrimental impact on investment into future renewable energy generation, short- to mid-term.<\/p>\n<p>FRV, with 20 years of experience in renewable energies and a presence in Germany since early 2023, is tackling this challenge by introducing their innovative Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) together with their solar PV generation facilities in an integrated \u2018hybrid\u2019 arrangement.\u00a0 This captures and stores the excess energy produced and is able to make it available to the grid at a later time, when it is needed.\u00a0 This is an approach which has also begun to be promoted by the German government\u2019s Renewable Energy Sources Act (Erneuerbare Energien Gesetz, EEG) subsidy system.<\/p>\n<p>This PV hybridization allows the energy to be placed in the system and in markets with much more conducive conditions; the BESS system
