June 2015\u2019s newsletter from J-PAL takes a look at anti-poverty strategies that could benefit the world\u2019s ultra-poor, (the approximately one billion people that live on less than $1.25 a day). The J-PAL research lab at MIT also launches a new \u2018Government Partnership Initiative\u2019 \u00a0to expand work with the biggest players in social and development policy – governments – to design, evaluate, and scale up programs that aim to reduce poverty.
