What if the future is dictated by the unintended consequences of who you are?\u00a0\u00a0 That is the question set out to be answered in \u2018Age of You\u2019, an exhibition<\/a> now on display at Jameel Arts Centre<\/a> in Dubai.<\/p>\n

Curated by Shumon Basar, Douglas Coupland and Hans Ulrich Obrist, with graphic design by Daly & Lyon, it includes over 70 visual contributors from the worlds of art, design, filmmaking, photography, technology and electronic music.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new exhibit was profiled on CNN<\/a>\u2019s Connect The World programme, hosted by Becky Anderson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Set across two of Jameel Art Centre\u2019s gallery floors, \u2018Age of You\u2019\u00a0contains major works articulating different aspects of \u201cThe Extreme Self.\u201d\u00a0New commissions by\u00a0Satoshi Fujiwara, St\u00e9phanie Saad\u00e9\u00a0and\u00a0Yuri Pattison, deal, respectively, with crowds, screens and emoji-as-surveillance. Films by\u00a0Trevor Paglen\u00a0and\u00a0NVIDIA Research,\u00a0and audio-deepfakes\u00a0by\u00a0Vocal Synthesis, are informed by Artificial Intelligence.\u00a0Sara Cwynar, Jenna Sutela\u00a0and\u00a0Victoria Sin\u00a0all explore transformed perceptions of the face and body. And\u00a0Craig Green\u2018s collection and campaign for\u00a0Moncler\u00a0fuses menswear and machine.<\/p>\n
