Bab Rizq Jameel launches a new employment center for females
Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, Chief Job Creator at Bab Rizq Jameel, an initiative of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives, inaugurated the new Bab Rizq Jameel Female Employment Center in Jeddah. Under the theme “The right employee for the right position”, the new center is seeking to communicate with companies and organizations looking for qualified female employees, and to receive applications from women who are seeking employment opportunities in the private sector.
At the inauguration ceremony, Rola Basamed, Bab Rizq Jameel Female Center Director at Sairafy Mall in Jeddah, gave a presentation in which she stated that the new center is seeking to satisfy the increasing demand of the private sector for Saudi female employees, taking religious directions and traditions into consideration. Basamed added that the Bab Rizq Jameel team in the employment center consists of qualified and experienced personnel. Team members examine job opportunities in private sector companies and organizations, and match them with applications received from job seekers. According to Basamed, more than 200,000 female applicants from all over Saudi Arabia are looking for jobs.
Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel stated that the independent center has started operation this month, and has already helped to create 240 job opportunities. He also said that the center is planning to create 5,000 job opportunities during the next year. Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel expressed his recognition and appreciation to the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), labor offices and the Saudi Credit Bank for their support. At the end of the ceremony, certificates of recognition were presented to the companies that contributed to the successful employment of Saudi citizens through Bab Rizq Jameel Jeddah. Companies included Jotun Factory, Saudi Brothers Company, Rose Hotel, Banda, National Commercial Bank, Saudi Fransi Bank, in addition to a further 25 private companies. Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel announced that the Program has successfully created more than 138,906 job opportunities since its foundation up to the end of July 2010. “Such achievement would have never been possible without the support from the HRDF, labor offices and the Saudi Credit Bank. Young job seekers who applied to Bab Rizq Jameel for job opportunities were highly successful, supported by a dedicated team of more than 400 job creators”, he added.
