Mahboob Khan, Managing Director, Insurance & Risk Mitigation, Abdul Latif Jameel and CEO, JENOA has been recognized as the Corporate Insurance & Risk Manager of the Year at the Middle East Insurance Industry Awards 2022.

At a ceremony held in the Dubai International Financial District (DIFC) in Dubai, UAE, Mahboob was honored in front of insurance industry peers, colleagues, and associates, and celebrated for his focus on delivering efficient and effective risk mitigation solutions.  The judges agreed that his is known for his “sound Insurance & risk management principles and the provision of stable risk transfer solutions”.

Mahboob Khan established the insurance and risk mitigation function for Abdul Latif Jameel and comes from a risk management background.  He has applied consistent practice and processes by designing risk mitigation solutions and a communication network that runs from the top of the organization to operating units within each business sector.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mahboob has steered discussions with Abdul Latif Jameel senior management to review and consider strategic risks that could impact the business, including supply chain disruptions, geo-political risks, cyber, and natural hazard crises.  Under his leadership, the insurance and risk mitigation department has become an integral part of Abdul Latif Jameel’s infrastructure and he continues to elevate the contribution of Insurance, risk management and mitigation principles at the board level.
