Congratulations to Jameel Motorsport supported drivers Yazeed Al Rajhi and Dania Akeel, who both celebrated podium finishes at Rally Tabuk, the second round of the Saudi Toyota Desert Rally Championship, organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.

Saudi rally champion and Jameel Motorsport ambassador Yazeed Al Rajhi recorded the fastest times in the first and second stages, achieving first place in the overall drivers’ standings after covering 870 kilometers in the Toyota Hilux as part of the Belgian Overdrive team.  Alongside his co-driver Timo Gottschalk, Yazeed now extends his lead in the 2024 Saudi Toyota Championship.

“First and foremost, I want to express my deep thanks to all the people of Tabuk, for their unlimited support and wonderful reception, and for their perfect organization of this great event. Their continued support of motorsport can only be a source of pride for us.  I would also like to gratefully thank His Highness Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, for his wonderful efforts in organizing this distinguished event, which represents an important turning point in the world of motorsports in Saudi Arabia. I cannot forget my thanks to our official partner, Jameel Motorsport, for their great support to us, and to all motorsport fans in the Kingdom.” – Yazeed Al Rajhi

Dania Akeel, another Jameel Motorsport ambassador, continued to impress in the Ultimate category, finishing second overall, with co-driver Stephane Duple.

Akeel said:

“The stage was narrow and quite twisty and that was good for me to get used to the car. I would love to race this car every day. We will see. I want to develop as a driver as much as I can.”
