Toyota commemorates the iconic FJ Cruiser sendoff with a limited 2023 ‘Final Edition’

- The ‘Final Edition’ is set to roll out in Q4 2022 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, combining off-road capabilities, style and performance.
Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, an authorized distributor of Toyota vehicles in Saudi Arabia since 1955, has announced the launch of the final year 2023 model of the FJ Cruiser. As one of the Kingdom’s popular SUVs and hailed as an instant classic by customers and critics alike, the FJ Cruiser is set to discontinue production by December 2022. To commemorate the culmination of more than 15 extraordinary years of production, Toyota will launch a ‘Final Edition’ grade of the vehicle with a limited supply of only 1,000 units.

The ‘Final Edition’ will come in a single-tone select beige color for the exterior, upholstery, and center cluster trim, creating a distinctive sense of modernity. With several unique features, the ‘Final Edition; gives off-road adventurers a unique opportunity to own a piece of motoring history. Separately, the FJ Cruiser will be available in various attractive finishes and specifications, with the Final Edition scheduled to roll into the region during Q4 2022.
The ‘Final Edition’ is powered by a DOHC, 4.0-liter V6 engine that incorporates dual independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), capable of producing 270 horsepower and 380 Newton-meter (Nm) maximum torque. The vehicle is also equipped with a wide range of driver assistant features such as Active Traction Control (A-TRAC), Crawl Control, and electronically controlled locking rear differential.
In addition to the stellar all-terrain performance, drivers will enjoy greater peace of mind thanks to Toyota’s world-class safety features, such as the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with an off switch, among others. Further adding to the vehicle’s rugged appeal, a special black coating has been applied extensively throughout the exterior, including the blacked-out grill, bumpers, exterior mirrors, door handles, and spare tire cover. The ‘Final Edition’ also includes a badge indicating the vehicle’s unique number underlining the limited edition’s exclusivity.
The FJ Cruiser is a well-built off-road vehicle inspired by the styling and heritage of the classic Toyota FJ40 4×4 utility vehicle that will continue to live on in the hearts of its owners and the Toyota family.
