Today is World Environment Day.

A day dedicated to encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

This year, the timing could not be more pertinent, as we are reminded of the very real need to look after our planet, for the sake of all of us.

The current pandemic is the latest warning from Nature of the dangers of not looking after our environment, and destroying natural habitats, by not respecting our planets ecosystems, of which we are part.

In 2016, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) warned of an increase in zoonotic epidemics, highlighting their close link to the health of our ecosystems.  And yet, biodiversity loss continues to accelerate across the world.

We are all responsible, as caring for ourselves, means caring for nature.
