Hasan Mert

Hasan Mert serves as Chief Financial Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer of ALJ Finans (Jameel Finance, Türkiye), a leading digital consumer finance company in Türkiye and part of Abdul Latif Jameel, a collective of independent, family-owned and diversified international businesses founded in 1945 by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.

In his role, Hasan oversees the company’s financial strategy and governance, including treasury, asset and liability management, risk management and financial planning, while also assuming the responsibilities of Acting Chief Executive Officer to support the sustainable growth and operational continuity of ALJ Finans in Türkiye.

Hasan joined ALJ Finans in 2015 and has held several senior leadership roles within the organization.  After serving as Finance Manager and later as Finance Director, he was appointed Deputy General Manager, Finance in 2020. As of 2024, he is also a Member of the Board of Directors of ALJ Finans.

Prior to joining ALJ Finans, Hasan built a strong background in banking, asset and liability management, capital markets and financial audit. He worked extensively on balance sheet management, liquidity and interest rate risk, regulatory frameworks and pricing strategies, and gained international exposure through close collaboration with global financial institutions.

Hasan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University Ankara and a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from Bilgi University Istanbul.
