- 18 percent increase on 2016 figure
Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment, a Bab Rizq Jameel company and part of Community Jameel, provided 51,449 job opportunities across a range of business sectors in Saudi Arabia during 2017, an increase of 18 percent on the previous year of 43,435.
The growth is in line with recent Ministry of Labour efforts to Saudise various labour sectors, mainly gold and jewellery, car rental, insurance, and freelance work.
The decision to Saudise malls also contributed, with the Mall Saudisation campaign held in cooperation with Arabian Centres and Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment, resulting in 5,500 job opportunities for young men and women across the country.
Other influential factors that resulted in an increase in vacancies and demand, especially over the second half of the year, included Human Resources Development Fund programmes such as Tamheer, Wusool, and Qurrah that aim to enhance job stability and job seeking.
Strategic partnerships between Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment and universities also contributed, targeting university students and fresh graduates from institutions such as the Science and Technology College in Jeddah, King Saud University, Princess Nourah University in Riyadh, and Dammam University.
Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment’s part-time work programme secured 4,640 jobs, the seasonal work programme 4,630, and training resulting in employment 2,454.
The stadium and vehicle job programmes experienced great demand from young people as they offer flexible working hours and attractive financial returns. New jobs in stadiums totaled 9,600, with 2,189 created in transport and delivery.
Several collaborations to fulfil job requirements with exceptional young talent covered many events across Saudi Arabia, such as the Jeddah Talent Market, Al Ihsaa Employment Forum, Oxford College Employment Forum in Medina, and the Laureate College Employment Forum in Makkah.
Since its establishment in 2007, Bab Rizq Jameel Recruitment has created more than 289,864 job opportunities for men and women in Saudi Arabia.
