Mohammed (Mo) Chaara serves as Chief Information and Digital Officer, Abdul Latif Jameel, an international, family-owned and diversified business, founded in 1945, by the late Abdul Latif Jameel.

In this role, Mr. Chaara oversees and leads the digital, data, and associated technology transformation across the Abdul Latif Jameel family of businesses, working across operations to ensure excellence and best practices with a focus to modernize towards a data driven culture.  He also advises the board on all matters related to technology investments.

Prior to joining Abdul Latif Jameel, Mr. Chaara was Chief Data Officer for Philip Morris International.  He has also led the creation of multiple startups, and is a board member of various for-profit and non-profit organizations in the US, Europe and Middle East.  A native in the field of data – from academic research to executive leadership roles – Mo brings over 20 years of experience from across digital business strategy, analytics, data sciences, artificial intelligence, and machine learning from a number of multinational groups based in the USA, Switzerland and Singapore.

Mo holds a Bachelor of Computer Science & Mathematics from Southern Arkansas University, USA; a Masters in statistics and an MBA, both from the University of Utah, USA and PhD from the University of Antwerp, Belgium.  Mo speaks English, Spanish, French and Arabic.
