Mark Fensome is Vice President, Assurance for Abdul Latif Jameel in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Fensome is responsible for the continual review and enhancement of governance, risk and compliance capability at Abdul Latif Jameel and the development of an effective system of assurance provision ‘from showroom to boardroom’ with appropriate checks and balances, oversight, and corporate accountability. He sits on the board of directors of Abdul Latif Jameel Finance in Saudi Arabia and Chairs the Risk Committee. Mark also serves on the Abdul Latif Jameel Central Investment Committee.
He began his career at a major retail business where he held several roles in finance and operations before moving into governance. During his tenure at that company, it evolved from a domestic, family-run operation to a publicly-listed international business. In 2010 he took up the post of Director, Group Audit & Risk Services for the world’s leading international travel and leisure business comprising various airlines, cruise companies, hotels and retail outlets with over 220 brands operating in 180 countries.
Mr. Fensome is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Internal Auditor.
